aQmen Consultancy LLP are a Global provider of high level consultancy
and support service to Bio-Containment, Bio-Safety and GMP Cleanroom
builders, users and operators.

We possess over 50 years total experience working within these complex and specialist
environments and are able to combine this knowledge and expertise with an extensive
and comprehensive Engineering foundation.

Jason Harvey BEng(Hons)
Jason Harvey

Jason has worked within different manufacturing industries for nearly 20 years gaining a wide and varied experience of process improvement and the critical importance of documented systems.

After a four year apprenticeship he gained entry to and graduated from Loughborough University with an honours degree in Engineering and Management in 1999.

He spent 2 years working in the highly regulated Aerospace industry initiating and managing continuous improvement projects at various sites across the UK and USA, before moving in to the Automotive industry as a Project Manager responsible for development and implementation of new products and processes in this very cost conscious industry.

Jason progressed onto a position as a Contract's Manager within a small construction firm where he quickly made the transition to this new type of business, gaining key industry experience whilst implementing the project management and process improvement techniques gained in previous industries.

Jason now works within aQmen Consulting LLP as Project Manager responsible for managing all our consultants and developing our business. His strict process orientated perspective and structured management skills ideally fit into this critical industry, and his experience across other business sectors gives him a unique outlook.

David Cooper BSc MRPharmS
David Cooper

David is a Pharmaceutical Consultant specialising in all aspects of Aseptic Processing, including Facility and Process Design, Facility and Process Qualification, Manufacture and Operations.

David has gained over 20 years experience, mainly with Glaxosmithkline, working within Aseptic Processing. During this time he was involved in many high value and high visibility projects that gave him wide-ranging knowledge and expertise.

This Experience has included:

  • Design, Validation and Operation of:
    • Aseptic Manufacturing Facilities
    • HVAC Systems
    • High Purity Water Systems (Purified Water, Water For Injection and Clean Steam)
    • GMP Utilities (Compressed Air, Nitrogen, etc)
  • Specification, Validation and Operation of Aseptic Manufacturing equipment, including Isolators, Autoclaves, Freeze-Driers, Ovens, Filling and Overcapping machines and High Frequency Spark Crack Detector
  • Design and implementation of viable and non-viable particulate monitoring programs
  • Development of Operator/Process/Facility qualification strategies using Process Simulations
  • Writing & Reviewing of GMP Documentation for equipment and processes
  • Regulatory Authority Audits
  • Audit of Third Party Manufacturing Facilities

  • Training of operators in aseptic operations and use of equipment.

Edward Hanson PGDip, DBiol, MSB
Edward Hanson

Edward has built up a wealth of knowledge over more than 28 years experience working within the biological sciences.

With initial training and experience within Clinical Microbiology, Edward then moved into Pharmaceutical Microbiology spending over 20 years managing a variety of microbiology labs within SB and GSK. During this time he successfully gained a Post Graduate Diploma in Biomedical Sciences.

Along with practical skills in quality testing and the management of microbiology laboratories, Edward also has extensive experience in the microbiological control and qualification of pharmaceutical manufacturing including;

  • Facilities and equipment
  • Laboratory design and equipment qualification
  • Method and product development
  • Quality Assurance
  • Auditing
  • Training
  • Validation and research across both Clinical and Pharmaceutical Microbiology

His responsibilities have also included the development of quality documentation to meet international regulatory requirements for both laboratory and production facilities, including SOPs, validation protocols and UKAS standards.

In 2008 Edward was employed by the University of Hertfordshire to set up a contract testing company, specialising in microbiological testing of pharmaceutical and food samples. Edward was responsible for setting up the laboratory and all operating systems to meet a GLP and UKAS audit and equip the laboratory to enable the performance of quality microbiological testing.

Edward is a Member of the Society for Biology, a Chartered Biologist and has also been Vice chairperson (5 years) and Chair Person (1 year) of Pharmig.

Ross Eldred BSc, MRICS
Ross Eldred

Ross qualified with an Honours degree in Quantity Surveying from the University of Portsmouth in 1985. He subsequently spent 8 years working as a quantity surveyor on major construction projects in central London for John Laing and Bovis including London Bridge City and the Broadgate and Ludgate developments.

He joined Mace in 1993, as a consultant Project Manager working on the £55m new UK headquarters for Rank Xerox in Welwyn Garden City. He subsequently undertook the role of Project Manager for the £150m fit out of Barclays Capital's headquarters at Canary Wharf, London.

Ross followed this with a two year period aboard during 1997 and 1998 with Tarmac Professional Services during which time he successfully opened up a new Country Office in Manila, Philippines undertaking a range of consultancy projects either as Development Manager or Project Manager. Ross and his wife returned to the UK in 1999 to start a family.

Ross rejoined Mace as Operational Director with responsibility for a number of large Construction Management Projects in Central London across the commercial and residential sectors.

In 2009 Ross left Mace to focus on developing his own business opportunities and commenced his current relationship with aQmen Consultancy LLP providing consultancy in project management, contractual knowledge and expertise and invaluable experience of the construction industry.
